The Cleansing
A thorough cleansing with a facial cleansing bar, lotion or cream followed by twenty-five or thirty rinses with very warm water is a good start. All facial cleansing and treatment products should be from the same manufacturer as they are created to work together.

The Preparation
Use of controlling lotion to balance the skin’s pH (acid/alkaline) level is recommended. Moisturizer or day cream, as needed and only where needed, should be applied to a warm, moist skin. Dab an eye cream gently and pat it around the delicate eye area with the ring or pinkie finger. If not contained in moisturizer and eye cream, apply lotion or cream designed to combat free radicals and a sun protection product of at east 6 or 8 SPF. A touch of under-eye concealer one shade paler than foundation or same shade as foundation is needed.

Next, apply foundation to even out the skin tone and protect it from the elements and pollution, in a color to match perfectly the complexion and carefully blended just over and slightly under the jaw.  It may also be a good idea to choose a color that suits your remy hair extensions if you wear them.  Foundation should be a thin, translucent one that lets a well-cared-for skin proudly show through when selected for daily and sport wear. For artificial or candlelight or photography, a somewhat more opaque and creamy one is my choice. According to skin and the season either of these can contain oil or be oil free.

Also, you can lightly apply a medicated tint for any minor mars to an otherwise perfect complexion to heal as it hides.

The Powder
Put a touch of blush to accent the cheeks, just remember that cream blush goes before powder and powder blush goes after powder, otherwise, they will not mix.

The Eye Accent
Eyes should be highlighted, contoured, shadowed, and powdered beneath well-shaped and brushed brows. Add the finishing touch to a glowing, lightly made-up complexion. Smudge subtle, smoky eyelash colors at the base of the lashes so as to become a part of the lash base itself. Accent further the lashes, if needed, with the slightest stroke of eyeliner placed at the base of the lashes only, never beyond, in a muted shade that whispers “accent.” The eyes’ shape should be contoured with soft shades of subtle color, never fear a bare eyelid with just a hint of the palest pink for a wonderful daytime backdrop to eyelashes tipped with mascara. Your eyelashes should definitely be styled to subtly  match your hairstyle.  Only matte eye colors are suitable for day. Frosted colors must be saved for evenings.

The Lip Accent
Lip accent choices are as many as lip shapes themselves: transparent, translucent, and opaque lip color in shiny, wet, matte, or frosted finish. The tools of application range from fingertips to brushes to pencils to tubes to pots to applicators. The more naturally liplike the color and pencil accent line, the more believable the mouth. The more vivid the color, the more made-up lips appear. Artful changes can be made to the size of the lips with practice. Use of color to later the lips is better than lines to redesign the lips. Unless applied by professional makeup artists, lines are easily detected.
